Salon Solitare

Salon Solitaire
This project was designed to be a desk standee display piece of Furina from Genshin Impact. This project was a group effort between me and one of my friends. I did all the art and he handled the wood and sticker aspect.
Materials:
- Procreate
- iPad
- Apple Pencil
- Sublimination Paper
- Sticker sheets
- DTF Machine
- Air-dry clay
- Paint
- Arduino
- NeoPixels
Process
Before the Hackathon started, I made sketches of each of the designs and lined them. This was so that when the Hackathon started we could go ahead and laser-cut the wood pieces needed for the project.
When the Hackathon started, I immediately started coloring and shading each of the drawings, starting with Furina as I knew she would take the longest amount of time to finish coloring.
After that, I started working on the different members of the Salon.
I also made a wood-paneled flooring design for the floor, and curtain for the stage for the background.
After I finished the drawings, I sent them to my friend to start making stickers out of them.
While he started making the stickers, I started making some clay designs that I could put on the piece.
I made a few flower bouquets and painted them. I did not however put them on the piece as I wanted to let the paint dry and did not want it messing up the stickers on the piece.
We then finished putting the whole piece together. We put the stickers on the laser-cut wooden pieces. We then glued the wood slots onto our character pieces so they could slide into the slots we placed on the "floor" piece of the wood.
We then finished the piece by adding a NeoPixel strip to the back using two velcro pieces.
Overall I really enjoyed this project, and is one of my favorites I have done this semester.
